Terms of Use

Last updated October 2, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Wisp (formerly Qalam) for using the Wisp app and qalamapp.net. By creating an account or using Wisp, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.

Your account

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use Wisp.
  • Give accurate information, keep your password private, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account.
  • You are responsible for what happens on your account. Don’t sell, transfer or share it.
  • Don’t create accounts to get around a suspension or a block.

Your content

You own what you post. You give Wisp a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, distribute and adapt your content (for example, resizing media or transcribing voice posts) only to run, improve and promote Wisp. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies other people have already shared or that we must keep by law.

Only post content you have the right to share.

Community rules

Wisp has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Don’t post, send, say or stream:

  • Harassment, bullying, threats or encouragement of self-harm.
  • Hate speech or attacks on people for who they are.
  • Sexual content involving minors, in any form. We report it to the authorities.
  • Nudity or sexually explicit content.
  • Graphic violence, or content that promotes terrorism or violent extremism.
  • Other people’s private information, such as phone numbers, addresses or private photos.
  • Impersonation of a person, brand or organization.
  • Spam, scams, fake engagement or automated accounts.
  • Anything illegal, or content that infringes someone else’s rights.

These rules apply everywhere on Wisp, including anonymous questions, Ghost posts, messages, Cubes, Live and games. Being anonymous to other users doesn’t make you anonymous to us.

Reports and enforcement

You can report posts, messages and people, and block anyone, from inside the app. We review reports and aim to act on them within 24 hours. We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or delete accounts that break these terms, and we may report illegal content to the authorities.

If you think we made a mistake, email us and we will take another look.

Cubes, Live and games

  • Hosts are responsible for their rooms and can mute, remove and block participants.
  • If you record a Cube as a host, tell the people in it. Don’t share recordings of other people, or rebroadcast them, without their permission.
  • Play fair in games. Cheating, exploiting bugs or using bots can lead to removed scores or a suspended account.

Wisp+

  • Wisp+ is an optional subscription bought through Apple’s App Store and billed to your Apple ID.
  • It renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in your Apple ID subscription settings, at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • If a free trial is offered, any unused part of it ends when you subscribe.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
  • We may add, change or remove Wisp+ perks. If we make a change that significantly reduces what you pay for, we will tell you in advance.

AI features

Some features, such as @qalamai replies, writing help and voice transcription, are generated by AI. AI output can be wrong or incomplete, so check it before you rely on it or post it. You are responsible for what you post.

Using the app

We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use the Wisp app on Apple devices you own or control, under these terms and Apple’s Usage Rules. Don’t copy, reverse-engineer or resell the app, scrape the service, or interfere with how it works.

Apple isn’t responsible for Wisp or its content and has no obligation to provide support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.

Leaving Wisp

You can deactivate or delete your account at any time in Settings → Account. Deleted accounts are permanently removed after 30 days. We may suspend or end access to Wisp for anyone who breaks these terms or puts other people at risk.

Disclaimers and liability

Wisp is provided “as is”. We work hard to keep it running and safe, but we can’t promise it will always be available or error-free, and we aren’t responsible for what other people post. To the extent the law allows, Wisp isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law that can’t be limited.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is important, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using Wisp after that, you accept the new terms.
